The book of Ezekiel, chapter 40 Ezekiel, יחזקאל (Yehezkeel), the prophet, the priest, a descendant of Aaron. 1 In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither. 1 In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was taken, on that same day the hand of the LORD was upon me and He brought me there. In Ezekiel's book is written: "on that same day". "on that same day ", Jews named so Yom Kippur, the Day of Judgement. It is celebrated each year in the autumn month of Tishri, 10. It will be this very day Tishrei,10, when should be completed a dedication of the altar of Ezekiel's Temple.

2 In the visions of God
brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high
mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.

Clearly, Ezekiel saw the Temple not in Jerusalem. Temple in Jerusalem located was not on the south slope of Zion, but on the north-eastern. меня на весьма высокой горе, и на ней, с южной стороны, были как бы
городские здания; Ясное дело, Иезекииль видел будущий Храм не в Иерусалиме. Разница в высоте у верхней точки холма Сион и уровнем площадки Храма Соломона составляет всего около 36 м и вершина горы Сион расположена довольно далеко от Иерусалимского Храма, примерно в километре. Храм в Иерусалиме располагался не на южном, а на северо-восточном склоне Сиона. И Иерусалимский Храм удобнее разглядывать не с горы Сион, а с Елеонской горы, которая выше и ближе к Храму. Но Соломонов Храм отделён от Елеонской горы долиной, так что в своём видении Иезекииль не стоял ни на одной из этих гор. like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring
reed; and he stood in the gate. 5 And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits long by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed. 3 So He brought me there; and behold,

блестящей меди, и льняная вервь в руке его и трость измерения, и
стоял он у ворот. 4 И сказал мне этот муж: "сын человеческий! смотри глазами твоими и слушай ушами твоими, и прилагай сердце твое ко всему, что я буду показывать тебе, ибо ты для того и приведен сюда, чтоб я показал тебе {это}; все, что увидишь, возвести дому Израилеву". 5 И вот, вне Храма стена со всех сторон {его,} и в руке того мужа трость измерения в шесть локтей, {считая каждый локоть} в локоть с ладонью; и намерил он в этом здании одну трость толщины и одну трость вышины. Здесь употреблено несколько странное выражение "локоть с ладонью". В еврейских мерах длины существует два вида локтя - "средний" (אמה בינונית) и "короткий" (מה קטנה). Средний локоть состоит из 6 ладоней, а короткий - из 5 ладоней. По-видимому, Иезекииль, употребляя выражение "локоть с ладонью", имеет в виду именно "средний" локоть, потому что ещё есть локоть без одной ладони, то есть, "короткий". То есть, в пророчестве Иезекииля не может быть речи о каком-то особенном локте из 7 ладоней.

Adin Steinsaltz in his "Introduction to the Talmud " indicates the

gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof,
and measured the threshold of the gate, which was one reed
broad; and the other threshold of the gate, which was one
reed broad. 6 Then he went to the gate which faced east, went up its steps and measured the threshold of the gate, one rod in width; and the other threshold was one rod in width.

between the little chambers were five cubits; and the
threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within was one

porch of the gate within, one reed. 9 Then measured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was inward. 8 Then he measured the porch of the gate facing inward, one

of the gate eastward were three on this side, and three on
that side; they three were of one measure: and the posts had
one measure on this side and on that side. 11 And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits. 10 The guardrooms of the gate toward the east numbered three on each side; the three of them had the same measurement. The side pillars also had the same measurement on each side. 11 And he measured the width of the gateway, ten cubits, and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.

the space was one cubit on that side: and the little chambers
were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side. 12 There was a barrier wall one cubit wide in front of the guardrooms on each side; and the guardrooms were six cubits square on each side.

gate from the roof of one little chamber to the roof of
another: the breadth was five and twenty cubits, door against
door.

14 He made also posts of
threescore cubits, even unto the post of the court round about the
gate. 15 And from the face of the gate of the entrance unto the face of the porch of the inner gate were fifty cubits. 14 He made the side pillars sixty cubits high; the gate extended round about to the side pillar of the courtyard. 15 From the front of the entrance gate to the front of the inner porch of the gate was fifty cubits. There is no word "high" in original language. This is a stumbling-block for many. Many begin to measure out 60
cubits upward. It is 28.8 meters. This is a ten-house. And this is
just the porch! What height should then be the temple?
"And he made the - columns, sixty cubits;
and to- column, yard, gate, round and round".

14 А в столбах он насчитал шестьдесят локтей, в каждом столбе
около двора и у ворот, 15 и от передней стороны входа в ворота до передней стороны внутренних ворот пятьдесят локтей. Здесь у Иезекииля есть
преткновение для многих. Начинают отмерять 60 локтей вверх. Это 28,8
метров. Это с десятиэтажный дом. И это всего лишь у столбов притвора
внешних ворот! Какой же высоты должен тогда быть сам Храм?! На самом
деле, шестьдесят локтей отмеряется в длину, от колонн, которые в
воротах, до конца притвора ворот. Иезекииль описал реальный Храм! Ворота шириной 6 локтей и высотой 60 локтей - это не просто что-то странное, это ещё и безвкусица. А Храм Божий должен быть красивым и гармоничным. < Для примера - неправильный вид притворов Третьего Храма.
< А это - правильный вид притворов Третьего Храма, высота соразмерна горизонтальным размерам. Кроме того, если 60 локтей отмерять вверх, то как определить
глубину выступа ворот? У Иезекииля в его проекте Третьего Храма всё
согласованно. 60 локтей - это длина от входа в ворота до
последних столбов притвора. |

16 And there were narrow windows to the little chambers, and
to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the
arches: and windows were round about inward: and upon each
post were palm trees.
16 There were shuttered windows looking toward the guardrooms, and toward their side pillars within the gate all around, and likewise for the porches. And there were windows all around inside; and on each side pillar were palm tree ornaments. Generally speaking, in the Hebrew original there is no word
"narrow". There is word "atumot", the plural of "Atum" (אטום)
- tightly closed, opaque, matt. It is possible are dark, tinted
windows. |

16 Решетчатые окна были и в боковых комнатах и в столбах их, внутрь
ворот кругом, также и в притворах окна были кругом на внутреннюю
сторону, и на столбах - пальмы.
Странное выражение у Иезекииля: "решетчатые окна... кругом".
"Решетчатые окна... кругом" - это современные окна, когда
стены как таковой нет, а есть только решётка, в которую вставлены
окна. Окна могут быть не обязательно прямоугольными. Решётка может
иметь контуры пальм и тогда окна тоже получаются изогнутой формы. |

pavement made for the court round about: thirty chambers were
upon the pavement.

17 И привел он меня на внешний двор, и вот там комнаты, и
каменный помост кругом двора был сделан; тридцать комнат на том
помосте. Поскольку Иезекииль не говорит про количество ступеней к помосту, то делается вывод, что высота помоста от уровня двора меньше одной ступени. В модели Храма высота помоста берётся равной 7 см. На столько же, на 7 см притворы ворот выше этого помоста с комнатами. То есть, от притвора до двора оказывается 14 см, это одна ступень. Считаем: 7 ступеней при входе во внешние ворота минус 1 ступень при выходе из притвора внешних ворот во двор, и ещё плюс 8 ступеней во внутренний двор, итого 14 ступеней. И в сам Храм ещё 10 ступеней, то есть всего до Святого Святых 24 ступени. |

18 And the pavement by the side of the gates over against the length of the gates was the lower pavement. 19 Then he measured the breadth from the forefront of the lower gate unto the forefront of the inner court without, an hundred cubits eastward and northward.

thereof, and the breadth thereof. 21 And the little chambers thereof were three on this side and three on that side; and the posts thereof and the arches thereof were after the measure of the first gate: the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits. 22 And their windows, and their arches, and their palm trees, were after the measure of the gate that looketh toward the east; and they went up unto it by seven steps; and the arches thereof were before them. 20 As for the gate of the outer court which faced the north,
he measured its length and its width.

обращенных лицом к северу, 21 и боковые комнаты при них, три с одной стороны и три с другой; и столбы их, и выступы их были такой же меры, как у прежних ворот: длина их пятьдесят локтей, а ширина двадцать пять локтей. 22 И окна их, и выступы их, и пальмы их - той же меры, как у ворот, обращенных лицом к востоку; и входят к ним семью ступенями, и перед ними выступы. 23 And the gate of the
inner court was over against the gate toward the north, and
toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate an hundred
cubits.
23 The inner court had a gate opposite the gate on the north as well as the gate on the east; and he measured a hundred cubits from gate to gate. Ezekiel wrote: "from gate to gate" It should be understood, that the porch of the gate is the part of the structure, named "Gate." So there are 100 cubits from the north gate (with their porch), to gate of the inner court.

Here is an important detail: a word " porches " is plural. It helps us to draw correctly all structure of a gate of the inner court : at the gate there are two small porches, one on the right, another on the left. the entries thereof were by the posts of the gates, where
they washed the burnt offering. 38 A chamber with its doorway was by the side pillars at the gates; there they rinse the burnt offering. North Gate of the Ezekiel's Temple differ from the other gates: there are tables for the slaughter of the victims and there is a special room for the washing away of the burnt offering. В нашей модели Храма по Иезекиилю в роли комнаты для омытия жертв выступает одна из шести комнат в притворе. И столы про которые пишет Иезекииль мы расположили приблизительно. gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that
side, to slay thereon the burnt offering and the sin offering and

chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the
side of the north gate; and their prospect was
toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the
prospect toward the north. 45 And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house. 46 And the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him. 44 From the outside to the inner gate were chambers for the
singers in the inner court, one of which was at the side of the
north gate, with its front toward the south, and one at the side of
the south gate facing toward the north. (T) - for the priests who keep charge of the temple. > (A) - for the priests who keep charge of the altar. > For the first time "sons of Zadok" appear in the description of the Temple. Of course, Ezekiel is not talking about Sadducees. Apparently, the sons of Zadok means "sons of truth", they are righteous Jews, the sons of Levi.

подпоры у столбов, одна с одной стороны, а другая с другой. Подпоры за передней парой столбов необходимы, чтобы удержать каменную панель с изображением херувима над воротами. За второй и третьей парой столбов таких подпор нет, так как внутри Храма панели над дверями, по видимому, сделаны из дерева.
