When Christians today attack the theory of evolution, this is not only evidence of their ignorance, it proves the absence of the Holy Spirit in their midst.
It is impossible to try to understand and explain all Scripture without understanding the first chapters of Genesis. Here on the forum there is already a topic about trees in the Holy Scriptures. It seems quite incredible that in Christianity it is customary to consider spiritual images from the book of Revelation as material, and at the same time, many consider the material Temple from the prophecy of Ezekiel to be a spiritual image.
We must agree with scientists that man in a biological sense has existed for at least hundreds of thousands of years. We must agree with science that in the Universe a huge number of galaxies, an incredibly huge number of stars resembling the Sun, and the Earth is not the center of the Universe. We must recognize the fact that the Great Flood was not in a material form. If we are conscientious researchers of nature, we will get the same results: the age of the Earth is billions of years.
It would seem that after this we should pay special attention to the first chapters of the book of Genesis in order to understand what is actually being said there. But for some reason this is not happening.
Instead of turning to God with a question about the first chapters of the book of Genesis, Christians prefer to refute honest scholars, Christians are trying to prove something that Christians themselves do not understand. Christians even create institutions of fraudsters trying to falsify science.
There is no Christian mathematics, there is no Christian physics or Christian biology. Maybe science and maybe pseudoscience. Unfortunately, Christians are usually on the side of pseudoscience.
If the Scripture says that the Torah (Teaching) is a light, then why does someone suggest interpreting the light in the first verses of Genesis as photons?
If it is written in Revelation that water is a people, then why does anyone claim that the water at the beginning of Genesis is H2O?
Yes, we can explain the first chapters of the book of Genesis as spiritual images, using the definitions given in other books of the Bible. For example, stars are wise people, teachers of humanity.
It seems to me a very small task to write here on the forum a subscript translation of the Bible from the language of spiritual images into the language of the visible world. Everyone can do it himself.

The same applies to the biblical parable of the Great Flood and Noah's Ark. Biblical Noah is a fictional character, like Adam. The construction of Noah's ark never existed in the material form, it is an artistic image created for our education.
This is a movie that does not have to follow reality exactly.
But if someone perceives a good film as real events, then there is nothing wrong with that. We learn from examples of literary heroes. This is normal.
