Maher-shalal-hash-baz are carnal Christians keen on building a materialistic paradise, common prosperity.
Carnal Christians are all denominational Christians. The Antichrist is a leader who can unite the efforts of carnal Christians to build the kingdom of universal prosperity, which is the kingdom of the beast-666.
Such a false Christianity is trying to illegally seize the spiritual promises given to the elect, Israel. In the prophecy of Ezekiel, this is Gog from the land of Magog. In the prophecy of Isaiah, this is the "Assyrian king" and the infant Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;
Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, [even] the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach [even] to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

However, some people in Christianity are looking for the kingdom of heaven, while others are looking things shall be added unto them. Some will be raptured with the Church, while others will be raptured by the Antichrist.
I think today's Christians are like Judas Iscariot.
