According to the prophecy of Jeremiah and the revelation of John, in the most holy place in the future the Third Temple will not have the Ark of the Covenant.
And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit [it;] neither shall [that]be done any more. (Jeremiah 3:16)
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (Revelation 11:19)
Here we must correctly understand the expression "there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament". The meaning of this phrase is the same as if they say: people saw God in Jesus Christ. This does not mean that somewhere inside Jesus Christ people saw a little God. And with regard to the Ark of the Covenant, this does not mean that somewhere inside the Temple everyone suddenly saw the small ark of the covenant. The Temple itself will be the Ark of the Covenant of God with the people of Israel.

And the covenant with the nations will be broken:
And I took my staff, [even]Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. (Zechariah 11:10)
I took my staff Favor and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples. (Zechariah 11:10 — NASB)
I think the name "favor" more accurately conveys the meaning. All Christian nations will lose their privileges before God.
